Support Sling dog cart, Features and how it works.
back to main cart page

Over the back of the neck.
Chest Strap
Behind the front legs
Sling for back legs
Stirrups are used if dogs back legs don't work. They keep the feet from from dragging.

Note: There are occasional design changes made on this cart. Different sizes may have slightly different configurations.

The advantages of a soft, saddle sling support include:

  • circulation is optimal
  • allows for full range of motion.
  • Multi-functional (used alone as hand help support or used on wheelchair)
  • Sizing can be easily altered to meet the changing needs of pets- often times during initial chair use pet has substantially more muscle mass in the hind quarters than what the pet will have later on.

Harness-

Nothing that comes into contact with a pet using a Support Sling wheelchair is rigid in any way. It is designed to allow for natural, unrestricted movement, this is the basis of our design and is what has made our design so successful with veterinary health care professionals.

Additionally, the harness is comfortable enough it can be left on the pet throughout the day, making it that much easier than it already is to get the pet in and out of the wheelchair.
